Silicon Valley
- When I took the Hotel Matchmaker test these are the words I selected:
- Professional/Tailored, Romantic/Dreamy, Innovative/Unique, Nostalgic/Sentimental, Visionary/Artistic
- My favorite activities include:
- Time with My family, Golf, Skiing, Computers & technology (digital cameras and such), and learning the stories and histories of an area or town.
- I was born and raised in:
- I was born in Albany, GA and raised there and in St. Louis, MO.
- I currently live:
- San Mateo
- What do I do to make a buck?:
- I try to make a positive difference in peoples' lives so that is why I am the General Manager of Hotel Montgomery in San Jose
- 5 things I love about the San Francisco Bay Area:
- 1.The diversity of the people. There are so many restaurants and cultural centers, it is like experiencing the world in our own backyard.
- 2.San Jose, Mountain View, Palo Alto, San Mateo all are examples of small towns that have been refurbished and are great areas to dine, walk, and window shop. Perfect place to enjoy the company of good friends, a date or the family.
- 3. Silicon Valley is fast paced, but slow enough to smell the roses.
- 4. Shoreline Amphitheatre: Depends on the concert as to what crowd, but you always can rub shoulders with at least one or two high-tech innovators.
- 5.Silicon Valley is recognized around the world; and most people would say that they would love to visit. It is cool to be associated with something as awesome as the cradle of technology innovation.
- My favorite local hidden treasure you shouldn't miss:
- Filoli Gardens; Filoli stands for the credo of the builder, Mr. William Bourn "Fight for a just cause, Love your fellow man: Live a good life"
- My perfect day spent in the San Francisco Bay Area:
- Begin the morning with breakfast at The Crepevine in Burlingame for some good grub. Then to Filoli Gardens (86 Canada Road,Woodside 650-364-8300) to enjoy the beauty of the gardens as dew is just disappearing from the petals of the flowers. After the house and gardens tour, discover innovation at the Tech Museum of Science and Innovation or tour the San Jose Museum of Art. End the day at Paragon Restaurent and Bar in Downtown San Jose with a game of bocce with a mojito and the Chef's special.
