Peter Gamez
Vice President, Sales and Business Development
With over 20 years in the hospitality industry, Peter is a valuable asset and leader to the Joie de Vivre Sales and Business Development Team.
Peter manages a team of Sales Directors for individual hotels, as well as Corporate Office Regional Sales Managers for the Joie de Vivre collection. His responsibilities also include directing the efforts of Joie de Vivre’s Catering and Special Events Team and coordinating Joie de Vivre’s business developments and relationships. He is always looking at partnerships to build on the Joie de Vivre State Brand initiatives.
Before joining Joie de Vivre in 1996, Peter served as the Regional Director of Sales for Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts, Director of Sales at the Pan Pacific Hotel San Francisco, and spent time with the Kimpton Group, where he was Director of Sales for the Galleria Park Hotel (now a Joie de Vivre property).
Peter holds a degree in Mass Media from San Francisco State University and is an active member of the San Francisco State Alumni Council for the President and the San Francisco State Hospitality School Board. He is also closely involved with the San Francisco CVB Consumer Marketing Council, Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Bay Area Business Travel Association, and Los Angeles Business Travel Association. Additionally, he is active with the California AIDS Ride, and a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon.
