Marin County is one of the nine Bay Area counties, linked to San Francisco by the Golden Gate Bridge and to the East Bay by the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge. It is bordered on the north and northeast by Sonoma County and on the west by the Pacific Ocean. Marin County, easily accessible from San Francisco and the Wine Country, is home to Mt. Tamalpais rising 2,600 feet above sea level with its panoramic views and miles of hiking and biking trails, beautiful coastline with miles of beaches including Stinson Beach, and the famous Muir Woods.
