Hotel Durant Berkeley, San Francisco East Bay

While not all areas will be under renovation at the same time, please be aware that over the next months, we will have construction noise during the daytime. Joie de Vivre Gives
Joie de Vivre Hotels is a grass roots organization that strives to have a positive impact on our community. Each of our hotels is dedicated to donating at a minimum $200 per guest room per year to organizations in their communities.
As an extension of Joie de Vivre Gives, each hotel participates in the You Can Make a Difference program launched in April of 2008. The primary objective is to engage our guests by giving them the option to add an additional $1 of their total bill for each night they stay with us. Guests are able to opt out of this program at check-out.
Durant Hotel’s philanthropic partners in the You Can Make a Difference program are Berkeley Food & Housing Project where they are dedicated to easing and ending homelessness and the U.C. Berkeley's Young Musicians Program where they identify musically gifted students who cannot afford the specialized training essential for the development of their innate abilities, and to provide them with a comprehensive music education.
