San Francisco, July 10, 2007 - Joie de Vivre Hospitality, known for its diverse collection of experiential boutique hotel concepts, is partnering with San Francisco State University. Both business and institution recognize that providing education and opportunities are equally necessary for the future leaders of the hospitality industry.
In addition to the complimentary room nights and preferred rates extended to San Francisco State University, Joie de Vivre Hospitality is providing internships at several San Francisco hotels for students in SFSU’s School of Business Hotel Program. In return, San Francisco State University is endorsing Joie de Vivre Hotels as its preferred hotels throughout its communications with alumni, staff and the university community.
Peter Gamez, Joie de Vivre Hospitality’s vice president of sales and a graduate of SFSU’s Mass Media program, believes this partnership will strongly benefit both partners. He notes, “the Hotel Program in SFSU’s School of Business has a long history of producing the future leaders of our industry. Not only are they well educated, but the diversity of staff and students at SFSU plays a significant part in the graduates’ contribution to our businesses. It is only natural that we would want to partner with such an institution.”
Joie de Vivre Hotels participating in the partnership include San Francisco’s Hotel Adagio, Galleria Park Hotel, Laurel Inn, Hotel Rex and the newly renovated Hotel Tomo; San Jose’s Moorpark Hotel; Water’s Edge in Marin; and, Hotel Angeleno in Los Angeles.
