Joie De Vivre Hospitality Introduces Exclusive, In-Room Magazine
San Francisco, June 29, 2007 - Joie de Vivre Hospitality announced today the introduction of their exclusive, in-room publication, Joie de Vivre Hotels Magazine, to be delivered on a complimentary basis to all hotel guests starting September, 2007.
Known for providing ‘local’s perspectives,’ Joie de Vivre Hotels is taking the opportunity to deliver that same connection with visitors, but on a more intimate level: Delivered right to the guest’s door. Upon arrival to all of Joie de Vivre Hotels, readers will discover a high-end magazine including editorial about unique area activities, engaging and informative perspectives on travel, entertainment, dining, fashion…and the ‘Joy of Life.’ For example, among a myriad of other articles, the introductory issue will ‘walk’ individuals through Red Blossom, a ‘hidden’ San Francisco tea shop, and provide a history on tea…as well as introduce visitors to the unique shopping found in the typically-locals neighborhood of Hayes Valley.
Placing a high value on magazines is nothing new to Joie de Vivre Hospitality. Since the company’s inception in 1987, a magazine (or hybrid of two) has been used as the concept organizing principle for each hotel. From the magazine(s), Joie de Vivre Hospitality has found that the words that would describe their model magazine would also become a touchstone for the hotel’s personality as well as its likely core customers. To this day, each time Joie de Vivre Hospitality embarks on a new hotel project, the earliest design stage is defining the related magazine(s) as the core of the property’s personality. Joie de Vivre Hotels Magazine is yet another tribute to the power of the pen and the psychographic connection to readers.
Initially, Joie de Vivre Hotels Magazine will be published semi-annually with the first issue (Fall/Winter) scheduled for September, 2007 and the second (Spring/Summer), due April, 2008. Distribution will be throughout all of the company’s current collection of hotels in addition to Hotel Los Gatos’ Preston Wynn Spa, Hotel Vitale Spa and Kabuki Springs Spa.
